Local Schools Shine at Bishopstown Credit Union’s Schools Quiz 2024
22 February, 2024Bishopstown Credit Union played host to the highly anticipated 2024 Credit Union School Quiz on Friday, 26th January, turning the SMA Hall in Wilton into a hub of excitement. Teams from six different primary schools within our common bond gathered, eager to showcase their knowledge and clinch victory in their respective categories.
The participating schools included:
- Ballinora National School
- Gaelscoil Uí Riada
- Goggins Hill National School
- Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh Boys
- Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh Cailíní
- St Catherine’s National School
Divided into two categories, Competition A catered to students under 11, while Competition B featured competition among under 13 students.
We would like to congratulate all the participating teams, especially the two winning teams. Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh Boys emerged victorious in Competition A, while Gaelscoil Uí Riada claimed the top spot in Competition B.
These two triumphant teams of four are now set to advance to the regional knockout stage scheduled for early March, with hopes of securing a spot in the Grand Final at the RDS, Dublin in April. We wish them the very best of luck in the next stage of the competition.
A sincere thank you is extended to the SMA for the use of the hall, and also to the participating schools for contributing to the overall enjoyment of the morning. The Credit Union School’s Quiz 2024 was successful in showcasing the academic excellence of our community’s local schools.
